True story: One day, the founder of Dust and Tribe was sweeping out his front porch and swept up a pile of pine needles. Feeling like he couldn’t just throw them away (gasp!), he decided to weave them into a basket! Now that’s some upcyling project I can applaud! That was one creative, resourceful and utilitarian use of detritus.
For this project you’ll need pine needles, raffia, a blunt needle and optionally a gauge (we used a plastic straw cut to about 3/4 inch).
Admittedly the process was a little hard to see in this video, but don’t worry, a step by step tutorial will follow.
