HOW I ORGANIZE OUR BOOKSHELVES | HOME LIBRARY TOUR

How to organize bookshelves can vary depending on the types of books you have. If you have a lot of books in one subject area, you can group them together. Groups can be by subject like “botany” or ‘US History’ or by type of book like picture books or novels. One of my favorite ways to organize is by color because the finished look is so pretty. One of the most practical ways to organize is by subject (and age level) the way libraries organize books. How ever you organize, I hope it’s easy and functional for you.

Now the bookcase under the chalkboard houses our American History, Roman History, Greek History, Astronomy, Middle Ages and Natural Sciences units. You can get a closer look at those books by checking out the playlists for these units.

  1. I absolutely love your chalkboard painting! I have a Tuscany wine cellar (large basement space) that I am converting to a homeschool and this chalkboard painting would be absolutely beautiful against the yellow four walls. Do you have any suggestions on where I could purchase something with this color scheme and inspiration (posters maybe)? By the way, I’ve been watching your entire YouTube channel. Thank you for all of the great ideas.
