Crayon Holder | DIY Tutorial

https://youtu.be/rbEcEw2bgL8

This is an easy, affordable project you can do with wool felt or with store bought felt from a local craft store. This tutorial is for the block crayons from Stockmar that you typically find a Waldorf school.

Direction:
Cut a piece of felt 9″ by 13.5″. Fold up pockets 1.5″ along the long side and pin in place. Measure about 1.75″ for each pocket and mark with a light pencil or chalk mark. Sew each pocket ensuring a strong back stitch on each end as this needs to be sturdy with all the wear and tear it will receive.

Optionally, you can add a ‘Twizzle’ of yarn on the end by sewing it in place with a piece of felt over it so when the crayon holder is rolled up you can tie it closed.

Supplies: felt, ruler, pins, scissors, pencil or chalk, sewing machine or needle and thread.

Duration: 30 minutes
Level: Easy
Cost: less than $4

You can buy wool felt in a beautiful assortment of colors from A Child’s Dream.
