What’s better than communing with nature in the spring? We recently visited the Old Faithful Geyser in Calistoga, California. The grounds have been improved in the last few years and now in addition to the animals that graze on the property, and of course the geyser, there is now a tiny museum, a game court and new cabanas for guests to lounge in and gaze out of the beautiful mountains while you wait for the geyser to erupt.

In the summer, the geyser erupts every 45-60 minutes for 5 minutes reaching heights of up to 60 feet. In the winter the height of the geyser is considerable reduced, but it erupts every 20 minutes for about a minute. Weather your wait is long or short, the geyser is spectacular.
