This secular unit is designed and written for all students. While we expect many Muslim families to enjoy this curriculum, it is written for people of all faiths as well as those who do not associate with a faith or religion. Given that this unit is written with the non-Arabic speaker and non-Muslim in mind, Arabic words are written in transliteration and translation. While Quranic ayat (verses) and hadith (prophetic traditions) are mentioned, this unit is not religious studies; rather, verses are mentioned as part of the lesson and to give context to the lesson. Some information may seem basic or redundant to the Muslim family, but it is included for completeness of the unit.
Lesson plans are set up with one week on each page with room to add days/dates and book recommendations/notes. Picture book selections are offered and may be considered lesson content if the curriculum is not purchased or used.
Welcome to the Lesson Plans for the Hajj Main Lesson Block. This unit is scheduled for 4 weeks. These lesson plans may be used independently or in conjunction with the Hajj Main Lesson Block curriculum. These lessons are appropriate for students of any faith or those who do not identify with a faith. The lessons are designed for ‘family’ use in that the lessons are well suited for grades Kindergarten through 6th grade (even through 8th grade), so may be done with multiple grades or ages. Each lesson content is appropriate for multiple grade levels, but lesson work reflects the ability of the student.
Lesson plans are set for a 5-day week, with spaces available to fill in day and date.
This product is a total of 5 pages, which includes a cover page with brief description plus 4 pages of lesson plans.
